You can make appointments by filling out an online eConsult form or contacting our reception team to do this for you. There are 4 telephone lines (0151 328 5630) which are open from 08:30 to 18:00 Monday to Friday. We offer appointments on the day as well as pre-bookable appointments for up to 4 weeks in advance.
These are usually for more urgent matters that cannot wait until a routine appointment. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to see the doctor of your choice, although we will try and accommodate your request.
These are for non-urgent matters and for patients who prefer to have continuity by seeing a specific Doctor or healthcare professional. These can be pre-booked up to 4 weeks in advance if available. We ask that you please ring in the afternoon when the phone lines are quitter and please take a careful note of the date and time and make every effort to attend.
If all the on the day appointments have been filled and you feel unable to wait until another day you may be offered a telephone consultation with one of the Doctors. The receptionist will take your phone number and a doctor will ring you back.
We encourage the utilisation of telephone consultations, which many people prefer as it saves a trip to the surgery. After talking to you, the Doctor may decide it necessary to see you and will make an appointment for a face to face consultation.
5% of appointments are wasted because people do not attend; all non-attenders are monitored. If you non-attend on a regular basis, you may be removed from the Practice list.
Our Practice is committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment where patienrs and staff can be confident that best practice is being followed at all time, and the safety of everyone is paramount therefore if appropriate a GP will offer you the opportunity for a chaperone to be present or you can request this service yourself.
